You have come to the right place.
If you are struggling with life or maybe just want to add more joy to your journey, I welcome you to my service. The decision to explore counseling is often a difficult one, and you may have many questions to ask. This is normal, and I invite you to take the time to ask any questions that you have so that you can make the best choice for your care and achieve your goals.
My skills
I bring a tremendous skill set and passion for delivering high-quality counseling to every session. I achieved a master's degree from the University of Denver's Graduate School of Social Work and obtained the highest level of social work licensure in the state of New Mexico. I am trained in several of the gold-standard, evidence-based techniques: Gottman Method couples therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, mind-body techniques, mindfulness techniques, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Exposure Therapy, just to name a few. I draw upon years of experience counseling families, individuals, children, adults, and adolescents, but I am particularly adept with work with couples, women, and issues of life transition, depression, and trauma.
My approach to counseling
My approach to counseling is very much a supportive and client-centered experience. I will work with you in developing a treatment plan that is tailored for your unique needs. As your counselor, I will gently challenge you to think and talk about your life issues and take steps towards goals to make life more satisfying. Often people choose counseling because they are in emotional pain, from the past or current situations, relationships, or patterns of behavior and thinking. It takes much strength to come into counseling, so I empower the you to choose the pace of therapy while emphasizing your effort and active involvement's importance in working towards the results you want.
